Dr. Nesvold grew up in Grand Rapids, MN where the winters are a bit longer and colder. He attended the University of Wisconsin at River Falls where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 1997. His dental training began at the University of Minnesota and culminated with his graduation in 2001 with the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. But he wasn’t quite finished yet. From here he moved to Boston, MA and completed a one year general practice residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital through Harvard University. Throughout this year Dr. Nesvold obtained further training in complex medical cases as well as extensive emergency and surgery experience. It was a year that has proven invaluable in private practice. After his residency he moved north to New Hampshire where he started his private practice career. Until recently Dr. Nesvold maintained privileges at Brigham and Women’s Hospital where he saw cases in the operating room providing extensive care to those that were mentally and physically disabled.
Dr. Jay enjoys almost everything outdoors. Alpine skiing, golfing, hiking, fishing, and hunting top the list of what he will be doing outside of the office. He is an avid runner as well. You may even see him at a road race or two in the summer.
Dr. Nesvold is a member of the New Hampshire Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
